The Metaventus symbol and how to use it
The three versions of the symbol, the required clear space, the minimum sizes, what is allowed and what is not, the exact colours and the typefaces. Help yourself.
The symbol
A chevron, two dots, and a face appears.
We publish software that automates customer relationships. Automating means handing a machine gestures that reach real people — and that is exactly where a brand should reassure rather than impress. So we wanted a robot, but a friendly one.
The drawing does not come from an illustrator's board, it comes from code. A chevron, the one that opens a tag, a comparison, an arrow. Two dots, the most ordinary punctuation in a source file. Put the dots under the chevron and the face is already there, with nothing added. All that was left was to bring it to life.
Move your mouse near the symbol: it has seen you. It turns towards you, its eyes follow you — and it blinks exactly when no one expects it. Touch the symbol: it has seen you. It turns towards you, its eyes follow you — and it blinks exactly when no one expects it.
The symbol
The symbol, in three versions
Three files, one drawing. Take the one that contrasts with your background: colour on light, white on dark or on a photograph, black for monochrome printing.
Clear space
Leave empty space around the symbol at least equal to the height of one of its two dots — roughly a third of its total height — on all four sides. Nothing enters that space: no text, no image, no page edge, no other logo. It is the rule most often forgotten, and the one that damages the result most.
x = the height of one dot
Minimum size
Below these sizes the two dots close up and the face disappears, leaving only a smudge. If space is that tight, better to show nothing at all.

Spacing and placement
- Clear space: at least the height of one dot, on all four sides.
- Proportions: the ratio between the chevron and the dots is part of the file. Never adjust it.
- Alignment: the symbol sits on the optical centre of the text beside it, not on its baseline.
- Page margin: at least two dot-heights between the symbol and the edge.
- Inside a square (avatar, favicon, tile): centre the drawing and keep the clear space within the square.
What you may do
- Use the symbol to illustrate an article, a talk or a comparison of tools.
- Resize it, as long as the proportions hold and the minimum size is respected.
- Pick the version that contrasts best with your background: colour, white or black.
- Write “Metaventus” next to the symbol, in your own body typeface.
- Reuse our “about” copy as it stands, without asking us first.
- Write to us for a format that is missing: we will make it.
What you must not do
- Stretch, squash, skew, rotate or mirror the symbol.
- Change the colours, or add an outline, a drop shadow, a gradient or any effect.
- Separate the chevron from the dots, move one of them, or add a third.
- Enclose the symbol in a shape that is not in our files: a pill, a badge, a cartouche.
- Place it on a background that swallows it — use the white or black version instead.
- Build it into your own logo, or use it in a way that implies a partnership that does not exist.
Colours
The chevron is a gradient, not a flat fill: take the file rather than trying to rebuild it.

Typography
- The symbol contains no text: nothing to install, nothing to recreate.
