What impact can I expect?
SMS reminders are the most effective lever against no-shows: an SMS is read within minutes by almost every recipient. A cost of a few cents per reminder bears no comparison with a lost slot.
Does the Wallet card reminder replace SMS?
For invitees who have added their card, yes: updating the card triggers a notification on the lock screen, and it costs nothing. For the others, the sequence keeps the SMS. You only pay for the reminders that need it.
Which reminders are sent, and when?
An email on confirmation, then an email and SMS reminder before the time, with timings you choose by appointment type. The attendance confirmation link lets the invitee reply in one click, and the status is reported in the calendar.
What happens if the person cannot come?
The cancellation or rescheduling link frees the slot, which becomes bookable again immediately. A reschedule the day before is better than an absence on the day: the aim is not to prevent cancellation, it is to make it easy.
Does it work for group sessions?
Yes: appointment types also handle fixed-date sessions, with their own location, capacity and times. Reminders go out to all registrants, and the attendance list is kept in the tool.
Do I need a particular calendar?
No: Google Calendar and Outlook connect, availability is read in real time and external events are taken into account to avoid double bookings. Public booking pages are hosted on a neutral domain.
