How it works
A verification code to place in your DNS zone: that is what stops anyone declaring your domain with us. Until it is seen, nothing is activated. This step is separate from email authentication, and it comes first.
The signing records are generated for you, to copy as they are. The three states — SPF, DKIM, DMARC — are tracked separately, because they fail separately: a valid DKIM with a missing SPF does not give the same deliverability, and a table showing a single green light leaves you in the dark.
An authenticated domain is not enough: you still have to say which addresses are allowed to write. Each sender is declared, verified by a code sent to the address, and attached to its domain. SMS sender IDs follow the same logic, with their own format constraints.
